Al Fatihah and Al Ala - Ustadz Abdul Qodir

Surah Al-Fatihah is the first chapter of the Quran and consists of seven verses. It is often called The Opening because it opens the Holy Book and the daily prayers of Muslims. Al-Fatihah is considered the essence of the Quran, summarizing its core message of faith, worship, guidance, and mercy. The surah begins by praising Allah, the Lord of all worlds, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. It acknowledges Allah as the Master of the Day of Judgment and emphasizes the believers dependence on Him for guidance on the straight path the path of those who have received His blessings, not those who have gone astray or incurred His anger. Muslims recite Surah Al-Fatihah in every unit (rakah) of their prayer, making it the most frequently recited chapter in the Quran. It reflects the intimate relationship between a servant and their Creator, combining gratitude, worship, and a plea for divine guidance.
