Mini Guava Growth Process
1. Germination (03 weeks)
Growth begins from seeds planted in loose soil. The seeds absorb water and start to sprout. Tiny roots emerge first to anchor the plant, followed by a young stem growing upward toward the light.
2. Seedling Stage (13 months)
The young shoot develops several small green leaves. During this stage, the plant needs enough sunlight and water to strengthen its roots and stem. Mini guava varieties grow faster due to their compact nature.
3. Branch and Leaf Formation (36 months)
The stem becomes stronger and starts branching. Leaves grow densely, oval-shaped with smooth surfaces. Photosynthesis becomes active, providing energy for further development.
4. Flowering Stage (69 months)
The plant begins to bloom. Mini guava flowers are white with fine stamens at the center. Pollination occurs naturally through wind or insects like bees.
5. Fruit Formation and Ripening (912 months)
After successful pollination, flowers transform into small fruits. The fruits grow larger and gradually change color from dark green to light green or yellowish as they ripen. Despite their small size, they are sweet and aromatic.
6. Maturation and Harvest (around 1 year)
The fruits are ready to harvest when their skin softens and gives off the typical guava scent. Mini guava trees can produce fruit several times a year with proper care.
