In 17 years of rescuing dogs, Eldad Hagar of Hope For Paws had never encountered a homeless Standard Poodle. That changed recently when he was contacted by Elizabeth Barajas, who was feeding feral cats in her Los Angeles neighborhood when she spotted the dog eating their food.
Eldad spent a whole day looking in the industrial area where Elizabeth had first seen the poodle he named Empress. But the next day he found Empress in a nearby neighborhood where she had been seen before. Eldad wrote
