It is based on the manga series "Oni Goroshi" by Masamichi Kawabe and has been described as a "John Wick-style" revenge tale. Plot Summary The story follows Shuhei Sakata (played by Toma Ikuta), a legendary hitman who decides to retire to live a normal life with his wife and daughter in the provincial city of Shinjo. His attempt at a peaceful life is brutally cut short when a mysterious organization of masked criminals known as the Kimen-gumi murders his family and leaves him for dead, framing him for the crime. Sakata miraculously survives the attack but falls into a coma for twelve years. Upon waking, his dormant killer instincts reawaken, and he embarks on a relentless, ultra-violent quest for vengeance against the organization that destroyed his life and took over the city's criminal underworld. What awaits him, however, is a truth that threatens to completely alter his destiny.
