The Last Witch Hunter (2015) Movie Explanation The Last Witch Hunter follows Kaulder (played by Vin Diesel), a warrior cursed with immortality after killing the powerful Witch Queen 800 years ago. Her dying spell forces him to live forever, so he becomes a hunter who protects humanity from dangerous witches. In the modern world, Kaulder works with a secret group called The Axe and Cross, which monitors witches and keeps peace. His partner, a priest known as Dolan 36th, is mysteriously murdered, leaving clues that the Witch Queen may be returning. Kaulder discovers that the Witch Queen never truly died a piece of her soul has been kept hidden inside him, keeping her alive. Dark witches use magic to resurrect her, planning to unleash a deadly plague on humans. Kaulder teams up with a young witch, Chloe, who uses dream-walking magic to help him recover lost memories about the Witch Queen. Climax The Witch Queen returns in full power, draining Kaulders immortality to weaken him. Despite this, Kaulder fights back, destroying her heart and seemingly killing her again. Ending Kaulder decides not to destroy the final piece of the Witch Queens soul inside him because it is the source of his immortality. The movie ends with a hint that more supernatural threats are coming and Kaulder will continue protecting the world as the Last Witch Hunter.
