The most terrifying moment ever

Never in my life have I felt such fear. I took this quick two-minute film at Iceland's Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, which is among the world's most beautiful but deadliest beaches. What had begun as an enthralling encounter with the unadulterated beauty of Iceland swiftly devolved into a nightmare. I was swept into the churning North Atlantic off the basalt boulders in the most severe storm and furious surf I have ever experiencedcompletely soaked, helpless, and struggling against forces considerably stronger than myself. The waves were unrelenting and fierce. The ocean's pull was horrifying. I became acutely aware of how insignificant I was in comparison to the wrath of nature at that very moment. I was fortunate. Shaken but unharmed, I returned to shore. This narrative might have ended tragically if things had gone differently. Let this serve as a lesson to never undervalue the sea's power.
