Hazrat Abbas ibn Ali (A.S.), famously known as Bab-ul-Hawaij, was born on 4th Sha‘ban, 26 AH in Madinah. He was the son of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (A.S.) and Bibi Umm-ul-Banin (S.A.). From childhood, Abbas (A.S.) was raised in the house of bravery, faith, and loyalty, learning courage from Imam Ali (A.S.) and compassion from the teachings of Ahl-e-Bait (A.S.). Mola Abbas (A.S.) was renowned for his extraordinary strength, striking resemblance to Imam Ali (A.S.), and unmatched loyalty to Imam Hussain (A.S.). On the day of Ashura in Karbala, he served as the standard-bearer (Alamdar) of Imam Hussain’s army. His greatest sacrifice came when he went to the Euphrates to fetch water for the thirsty children. Despite severe injuries and losing both arms, he remained steadfast and sacrificed his life without drinking a single drop of water himself. The wiladat of Mola Abbas (A.S.) is celebrated as a symbol of bravery, loyalty, sacrifice, and devotion. His life teaches unwavering faith, obedience to Imam, and selflessness in the path of truth. His shrine in Karbala, Iraq, remains a center of hope, where millions seek help through his waseela, honoring him as the eternal guardian of loyalty and courage. ????????
