Introduction to DNA

DNA, short for deoxyribonucleic acid, is the genetic material that carries the instructions for the development and function of all living organisms. It is a long, double-stranded molecule that is made up of four types of building blocks called nucleotides: adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C). These nucleotides are arranged in a specific sequence that forms the code for an organism's genetic information.
