The Koala is a tree-dwelling animal that lives in Australia and is famous for its fluffy ears and round nose. Koalas spend most of their time sleeping, often up to 18–20 hours a day. Their main food is eucalyptus leaves, which provide both nutrition and water. Even though they look like bears, koalas are actually marsupials, meaning they carry their babies in a pouch. Baby koalas, called joeys, stay in their mother’s pouch for several months while they grow. ????????
