Usman gazi Usman Gazi, also known as Osman Gazi, was the founder and first ruler of the Ottoman Empire, which was one of the largest and longest-lasting empires in history. He was born in the late 13th century and died in 1326. Under his leadership, the Ottoman state expanded from a small beylik (emirate) in Anatolia to a vast empire that spanned three continents. Usman Gazi is considered one of the most important figures in the history of the Ottoman Empire and is often referred to as its "father" or "founder."
