We present to you a rare, historic recording of the Concerto for Harpsichord, Viola, and Orchestra (in E-flat major), written by Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach, the ninth son of the great J.S. Bach, known as the "Bückeburg Bach."
This 1950 performance is a true gem for collectors and lovers of authentic sound. The harpsichord solo is masterfully performed by Marguerite Rösgen-Champion, a distinguished French harpsichordist and composer who spearheaded the revival of interest in this instrument in the 20th century. The viola part is performed by Robert Boulet. The renowned Lamoureux Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Arthur Goldschmidt, provides musical accompaniment.
