Multiple explosions in fireworks units killed dozens of people within days. Investigations are ongoing, and safety concerns are rising. At least 13 people have died following another explosion at a fireworks factory in India — the second in just three days. The incident occurred at a firecracker manufacturing unit near the city of Thrissur, in Kerala state, on Tuesday, April 21, according to the BBC and local media outlets The Hindu and The Times of India. Multiple others were injured, with five of them reported to be in critical condition, per the BBC. The Times of India reported that officials said those in critical condition had suffered over 70% burns. Several others were also hospitalized, per The Hindu.
