Ceylon Natural Geuda

In its natural form, Geuda appears milky, cloudy, or semi-transparent due to tiny rutile inclusions inside the stone. Through heat treatment, this corundum mineral transforms into a beautiful transparent blue sapphire with vibrant color and brilliance. Sri Lankan Geuda sapphires are highly valued in the gemstone industry because of their ability to produce high-quality blue sapphires after treatment. Most Geuda stones are mined from the famous gem regions of Ratnapura and Elahera, making Ceylon Geuda an important part of Sri Lanka’s world-renowned sapphire trade.
