Lauren Bennett, ‘Party Rock Anthem’ Singer and G.R.L. Member, Dies at 37
Lauren Bennett, best known as a member of the groups Paradiso Girls and G.R.L. and for her appearance on LMFAO’s 2011 smash “Party Rock Anthem,” has died. She was 37.
Bennett’s fellow G.R.L. members announced her death on Instagram, releasing a joint statement. “Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us,” wrote the group, which consists of Natasha Slayton, Emmalyn Estrada and Paula van Oppen. “We will forever cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us. Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.” A cause of death was not given.The singer got her start in the music industry as a member of Paradiso Girls, formed by Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin.
