According to the Northern Police District, two armed suspects forced entry around 3:06 a.m. in Tierra Nova Subdivision, Barangay 171, and opened fire on Lipata and her live-in partner, Nelboy Lluz. Lipata, 24, managed to flee but collapsed outside and died from gunshot wounds. Lluz sustained multiple injuries and remains hospitalized. The assailants escaped on a motorcycle. Authorities have formed Special Investigation Task Group “MIMA” to pursue suspects and determine motive, amid speculation linked to her political content.
