In this video, I take on a massive 9KG nasi briyani challenge at Koothurar Nasi Briyani, a stall with over 30 years of history. They actually started as a pushcart at Orchard, and around 30 years ago they moved to Beach Road, serving up classic, flavorful nasi briyani that’s stood the test of time.
I went straight for the mutton nasi briyani, which was tender, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. Every bite was packed with rich, fragrant flavors, and the rice was fluffy and well-seasoned — exactly what you want from a proper briyani.
This is a stall with a strong legacy, and if you’re a fan of traditional nasi briyani, it’s definitely worth checking out.
