Surah Al-Hashr (سورة الحشر) is the 59th chapter of the Qur'an. It has 24 verses (ayahs) and was revealed in Madinah. Main themes The expulsion of the Jewish tribe of Banu Nadir after they broke their treaty with the Muslims. Lessons about trust in Allah and the consequences of hypocrisy. Guidance on distributing wealth fairly. A call for believers to be mindful of Allah and prepare for the Hereafter. The concluding verses (59:22–24) beautifully describe many of Allah's Names and Attributes. He is the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. 59:23 He is Allah—there is no god except Him: the Sovereign, the Most Holy, the Source of Peace, the Granter of Security, the Overseer, the Almighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 59:24 He is Allah, the Creator, the Originator, the Fashioner. To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names.
