Surat Al Kadar

Surah Al-Qadr (Chapter 97 of the Qur'an) Arabic: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ Transliteration: Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm. Innā anzalnāhu fī Laylatil-Qadr. Wa mā adrāka mā Laylatul-Qadr. Laylatul-Qadri khayrun min alfi shahr. Tanazzalul-malā'ikatu war-rūḥu fīhā bi-idhni rabbihim min kulli amr. Salāmun hiya ḥattā maṭla'il-fajr. English Translation (Saheeh International): In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful. Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. Meaning Surah Al-Qadr describes the greatness of Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), the night on which the Qur'an was first revealed. It teaches that: This night is better than a thousand months (more than 83 years of worship). The angels, including Angel Jibrīl (Gabriel), descend with Allah's permission. It is a night filled with peace, mercy, and blessings until dawn. Muslims seek Laylat al-Qadr during the last ten nights of Ramadan, especially the odd-numbered nights, through prayer, recitation of the Qur'an, and supplication. #Alquran
