7 Passes Rd: Karatara Pass, #5 In The Oldest Road Link Between George And Knysna, Western Cape

The Seven Passes Road on the Garden Route, completed in 1883, is the oldest direct road link between George and Knysna in Western Cape, South Africa. The road which traverses seven passes was engineered by Thomas Bain and Adam de Smidt. The Seven Passes: Kaaimansgat (or Kaaimans), Silver River, Touw River, Hoogekraal [ https://www.febspot.com/video/3372264 ], Karatara, Homtini (Goukamma), and Phantom Pass.
