Nepal Flash Flood 2026: A deadly flash flood that ravaged Rasuwa and settlements along the Nepal-Tibet border was caused by a catastrophic glacier fall in the Himalayas. The flood sent a gigantic wall of water, mud, ice, rocks, and debris downstream. A massive chunk of glacier ice and rock collapsed high in the Himalayas, causing a strong debris flow that entered the river system and started the fatal flood in Nepal. Rescue workers are still combing devastated and remote settlements in Nepal and China's Tibet region, where hundreds of people have been confirmed killed and over 1,000 are still missing.
