Cotton Candy Dream
In a cotton candy dream,
I am lost in a swirl of pink,
A world of sugar and cream,
Where my heart begins to sink.
The sky is a pastel hue,
And the clouds are fluffy and soft,
I float on a breeze so new,
And my worries are aloft.
The trees are made of candy,
And the flowers sweet as can be,
I dance on a sugar bandy,
And laugh with glee.
But as I reach for a treat,
My hands are empty and bare,
The dream begins to retreat,
And I'm left with a sugar-less stare.
But even though it's gone,
The cotton candy dream will stay,
A memory of a sweet dawn,
That brightened up my day.
