The sarangi is a bowed string instrument from India, Nepal and Pakistan. It is used in classical Indian music and is considered one of the most difficult instruments to play due to its complex playing technique. The sarangi has a distinct, rich and soulful sound and is often compared to the human voice. It is played with a bow and has around 37 strings, out of which three or four are played with the right hand and the remaining strings are used for sympathetic resonance. The sarangi is traditionally made out of a single piece of wood, and is played while sitting in a cross-legged position. and this also called Suronz, Balochistan.
