Marriage Counseling

The believer does not merely ask Allah for a spouse. He asks for a spouse who becomes qurrata a‘yun—a source of deep comfort and joy—and a family that moves toward righteousness. Do not ignore what character is already showing you. A person who constantly lies before marriage may not suddenly become truthful after marriage. A person who humiliates people when angry may not suddenly become gentle because you said, “I love you.” A person who refuses correction may become even more difficult when responsibility increases. Of course, people can change. Islam never teaches us to deny repentance or transformation. A person who sincerely turns to Allah, acknowledges wrongdoing and works to change deserves encouragement. But there is a difference between a person who is struggling to change and a person who has no intention of changing. #Spouse #Difference #Transformation
