Troops on the frontline in Ukraine s Bakhmut have told the BBC they welcome news they are to receive around a dozen Challenger tanks from the UK, a move they hope will turn the tide in the war. Russian authorities claimed they have taken control of the city of Soledar in Ukraine's eastern Donestk region. But this has been denied by a Ukranian army spokesperson, who said fighting there is continuing.
