In the first half of 2026, Chinese manufacturers shipped over 40,000 humanoid robots, nearly all of global supply. But industry data shows only about one in ten actually went to work. Now Beijing is mandating deployment: state factories must put 10,000 robots into real jobs by December 31, ready or not.
