This Planet Orbits BACKWARDS

This Planet Orbits BACKWARDS and Scientists Don't Know Why Yet?! 🪐 ...... GJ 3090 b is a sub-Neptune planet located about 73 light-years from Earth; it orbits its red dwarf star in the direction opposite to the star's own rotation. It is the first of its kind discovered around this type of star. It is roughly 2.2 times the size of Earth, and a single orbit takes only about 2.9 days. Other "backward-orbiting" planets have been found before, but usually, a gas giant or a companion star is suspected to be the cause. In this case, no such culprit has been found; one hypothesis is that the star absorbed a second gas disk that was rotating in a different direction. The study was led by the University of Geneva in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London and published in *Astronomy & Astrophysics*. Do you think this is strange or normal?
