Massive ships aren't built as one piece. They're assembled from huge blocks while different teams install engines, wiring, pipes, systems, and living spaces at the same time. Giant cranes then lift the sections into place before years of welding, testing, and finishing. Finally, the dry dock floods and the completed ship enters the water.
