Frog metamorphosis
The metamorphosis of a frog is a biological process of transformation from an egg into an adult, occurring in four main stages:
* Egg: Frogs lay masses of jelly-like eggs in water.
* Tadpole: The eggs hatch into aquatic tadpoles equipped with gills and a long tail for swimming.
* Froglet: The tadpole develops lungs for breathing air and grows legs (hind legs first, then front legs), while its tail gradually shrinks.
* Adult Frog: The tail completely disappears, and the fully developed amphibian is ready to live both on land and in water.
