Jacob blessed by Angel of God and became Israel🙏🙏❤️

Jacob refused to let go. The encounter happened at night, beside the Jabbok River. Jacob had sent his family and everything he owned across the river, leaving him completely alone. Then a mysterious man appeared and wrestled with him until daybreak. But Jacob refused to surrender. Even after the man touched his hip and dislocated it, he held on. He declared, “I will not let you go, except thou bless me.” In that moment, Jacob received a new name: Israel, because he had struggled with God and with men and had prevailed. The encounter left him wounded, but he walked away with a blessing and a new identity. He called the place Peniel, saying, “For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” What can we learn from this? Some battles take longer than we expect. Sometimes we must keep holding on, even when we are hurting, exhausted and standing alone. Jacob didn’t ask for the struggle to end without receiving something.
