The Umbrella Opened Itself Every Night 😱 | Scary Horror Story
Callum Reid finds a black umbrella leaning against his front door on a rainy night in Wrenfield. Bone handle. No maker's mark. And bone dry — though it has been raining for hours.
That night, at three minutes past three, he wakes to a click. The umbrella has opened itself in his hallway. And it is raining underneath it, though every window in his flat is shut.
The water smells of river mud. Wet footprints cross his floor every morning, stopping closer to his bed. The umbrella will not break, will not stay thrown away, and will not stop opening. An old woman on his street tells him whose it was: Jonas Pike, the ferryman of Wrenfield, who drowned in 1963 — and whose umbrella still ferries the dead across the river.
