700 Russian Soldiers Killed, Putin Ally Warns US

UK’s Defence Ministry has said that Russian and Ukrainian forces are currently at a deadlock in three areas. The UK has said the heaviest fighting is focused in the Kreminna, Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhia sectors. Ukraine said its forces have killed over 700 Russian soldiers in the last 24 hours. Russia said that its offensive operations in Zaporizhzhia have helped it gain more advantageous lines and positions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the dismissal of a minister who was being probed for accepting a bribe. Germany has said that it would not stand in the way if Poland wants to send its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron said he does not rule out the possibility of sending Leclerc tanks to Ukraine. Germany and France vowed to assist Ukraine for as long as needed and to support efforts to prosecute war criminals. Russia said that it held a training exercise on repelling air attacks in the Moscow region.
