Surah Al-Imran (in Arabic text: عمران‎) is the 3rd chapter of the Qur’an. The surah titled in English means “The Family of Imran” and it consists of 200 verses. The name of the Surah is taken from v.33 where the “house” or family of Imran is mentioned. Imran is the father of Maryam (christianity faith, Mary) who’s son is Isa (عليه السلام) or Jesus. From v35-49 it recounts the early life of Maryam and Isa (عليه السلام) his birth and miracles he performed.
