Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is a former President of the United States. He was the 45th president, serving from January 20, 2017, to January 20, 2021 Before his presidency, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens and earned an economics degree from the Wharton School He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan. Trump's political positions have been described as populist, nationalist, protectionist, and authoritarian. He was impeached twice by the House of Representatives, first in December 2019 on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, and again in January 2021 on charges of incitement of insurrection, following the storming of the United States Capitol by his supporters. He was acquitted both times by the Senate
