Co-parenting relationship having such a big impact on children after the couple decided to divorce or separated. Parents continue to raise their kid(s) together instead of taking each other to court to gain custody of their children, parents work together to do what is best for the child. This can include the child having equal time with each parent, and equal rights in decision-making. This is not going to look the same for all parents. It is about finding what works best for your children as you move forward after divorce. Having two involved parents is the healthiest thing for your kids. Research tells us that children with parents who coparent well following a separation grow up just as well as children with parents who had successful marriages. Co-parenting. It’s not a competition between two homes. It’s a collaboration of parents doing what is best for the kids.
