Surah Al-Fajr (Arabic text: الفجر) is the 89th chapter of the Qur’an. The surah titled in English means “The Dawn” and it consists of 30 verses The first part of this Surah gives an account of those who transgressed and their punishment. It mentions the ancient rebellious nations such as ‘Ad, Thamud, and the Pharaoh. The main lesson from this is to not be arrogant, people get distracted by this world and think of themselves as greater than they are. Allah warns us to be careful of this trap. The next part of Al-Fajr mentions that Muslims to be aware of neglecting to do good. It is a reminder that in order for us to enter his paradise we need to deliberately and consciously seek and do good acts. This is how we rise in the ranks.
