Neutral Chart Patterns - A symmetric triangle or neutral pattern is a chart pattern formed by two converging trend lines that form a triangle shape. Generally, the two trend lines will be converging at an equal angle, though this is not always the case. This pattern may be either bullish or bearish, depending on the direction of the breakout. A breakout in either direction signals a continuation of the trend that preceded the formation of the pattern.
