However, his story later became one of the most discussed in America, because after a while Henry confessed to 400 murders and even helped the police find the bodies of the victims. The film Confessions of a Murderer tells Henry's story, shedding light on previously unknown facts; for example, it details the many confessions to crimes he made while working with the intelligence services around the country. At least 20 of these confessions are definitely false, as the murder cases Lucas confessed to were subsequently reopened and new investigations found the real killers.
