Baba Farid Ganjshakar (RA) was a 12th-century Punjabi Muslim Sufi saint, poet, and theologian. He is considered one of the pioneers of the Punjabi language and literature, and his poetry and teachings continue to be popular among Sikhs and Muslims in the Punjab region. He was a disciple of Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki and was a major influence on the development of the Chishti Sufi order in India. He is also known as Baba Farid or Farid-ud-din Masud Ganjshakar.
