Gurdwara Panja Sahib ! Panja Sahib ! Hassan Abdaal
Gurdwara Panja Sahib is a famous Gurdwara located in Hasan Abdal, Pakistan.
This is one of the most holy places of Sikhism around the world.
The shrine is considered to be important as the handprint of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak,
still visible is the sacred rock with the hand print of Guru Nanak.
The Guru put aside a big stone lying nearby and a pure fountain of water sprang up and began to flow endlessly.
Guru Nanak along with Bhai Mardana reached Hasan Abdal in Baisakh Samwat 1578 B.K.
The Panja Sahib shrine complex is spartan but clean and reasonably well maintained.
Many thousands of faithful Sikhs from all over the globe visit this shrine.
Special visas are allocated by the Pakistan government to cater for the increased demand.
