How Bees Make Honey
Honey bees collect nectar from flowers using their tongues. The nectar is stored in a special stomach called the "honey stomach" and brought back to the hive. Inside the hive, worker bees suck the nectar out of the stomach and deposit it into the cells of the honeycomb. The nectar is then fanned by the bees to evaporate most of the water out of it. This process turns the nectar into a thick syrup, which is then sealed with beeswax to ripen into honey.
