Baba Ram Thaman was a saint, an older cousin of Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He came from Khala Kharu village, now in Kasur district of Pakistan's Punjab province. He set up his camp at a short distance from the village where his devotees would pay homage to him. After his death, a shrine was built at the spot.
