Manners to make dua
(1) Pray humbly to the Ruler.
(2) Abstain from eating, dressing and adorning in forbidden manner (Tirmidhi)
(3) Read the obligatory prayer or do good deeds before praying (Tirmidhi, Targeeb)
(4) Pray with ablution and bowing down (Bukhari)
(5) Bow down to perform prayer (Tirmidhi)
(6) Praise and glorify Allah before and after the prayer (Saheeh Sunan An-Nas)
(7) Also, send blessings and salutations on the Prophet (peace be upon him) before and after the prayer (Hakim)
(8) Pray with both hands open (Abu Dawud)
(9) Be humble and submissive while praying (Surah Al-Araf)
(10) Call upon Allah with intense supplication (Ibn Abi Shaybah).
(11) Invoke Allah by His beautiful Names and sublime Attributes (Surah Al-A'raf).
(12) Invoke Allah with a comprehensive supplication (Abu Dawud).
(13) Begin with yourself and then invoke Allah for your mother, father and all the believing brethren (Muslim).
(14) Do not make supplication for any sin or severing of relations (Muslim).
(15) Invoke Allah with the utmost effort and concentration of the heart and be hopeful for the best from Allah and be firmly convinced (Hakim).
(16) Invoke Allah with one and the same purpose (Bukhari and Muslim).
17. Pray to Allah (with blessing) that all of your needs be small or large, why not be usual?
18. Pray with certainty and assurance, and ask for Allah's acceptance (Bukhari and Muslim).
19. After the prayer, raise both hands up to the forehead (Abu Dawud).
20. Do not rush in expecting acceptance of the prayer, for example, saying that the prayer is not yet completed, or that I have not been granted acceptance of the prayer (Bukhari).
