Among those mind-blowing quotes from Al Quran, one in particular stood out to me that leave you speechless upon first reading. I have repeatedly seen both myself and other people throughout my life that we do not want to admit our mistakes or try to hide our vices. I think it's human nature to unconsciously use our ego as a protection mechanism. We might fool ourselves so much that we start to believe our own lies. Thus, this ayat is sort of warning us not to deceive ourselves. I've discovered that doing what is right, regardless of who sees it, is the best method to prevent ourselves from deluding ourselves. You won't need to "conceal with deception" anymore because you did what was best for your own psyche; the rest won't matter because you were correct. In a sense, it is true that everything is being recorded while you watch a movie, but by the time you get to rewind and play back the tape, it will be too late.
