Pickled red onion
????Recipe:
▫️1 large red onion
▫️1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
▫️1 tsp salt
▫️2 tbsp maple syrup
▫️5-6 peppercorns (optionally)
▫️1/2 cup boiling water
Peal the onion and slice into super thin stripes. Make sure all the layers are well separated before adding it to a jar. Then add all the other ingredients. Wait for a bit for the liquid to cools off. Close the jar and shake it. Preferably set it in the fridge overnight.
