Mirzapur - Season 01 Episode 01

"Mirzapur" is a crime thriller web series. In Season 01 Episode 01, we are introduced to the city of Mirzapur, a lawless land where power and guns rule. The episode opens with a scene of a wedding in a wealthy family in Mirzapur, where we meet the groom-to-be, Raja, and his father, a local businessman. The groom's father, in a show of wealth and power, gifts a new car to his son and shoots a young boy who asks for a ride in the car. The focus then shifts to two brothers, Guddu and Bablu, who live in a modest home with their family. Guddu and Bablu are both college students who dream of a better life and better opportunities. However, they are unable to find employment due to the lack of opportunities in Mirzapur. One day, Guddu and Bablu are approached by a local gangster, Munna Bhaiya, who is the son of the powerful businessman, Akhandanand Tripathi, also known as "Kaleen Bhaiya." Munna wants Guddu and Bablu to work for them, and in exchange, he promises to provide them with protection and money. However, the brothers are hesitant to get involved with the criminal underworld, but they eventually agree to meet with Munna. The episode ends with Guddu and Bablu arriving at a party hosted by Kaleen Bhaiya, where they meet Munna and are introduced to the world of crime and corruption in Mirzapur. The episode sets up the rest of the season, as the brothers must navigate the dangerous world of Mirzapur and make choices that will impact their future.
