In yet another case of mysterious death, a top Russian defence has been found dead after apparently falling from a high-rise apartment building in St. Petersburg. Marina Yankina, head of the department of financial provisions for the Western Military District, was found dead on a sidewalk on Wednesday morning, according to multiple local reports. Yankina handled cash flows for the Western Military District, which has faced considerable flak for its poor showing in the Ukraine war. Yankina's death is the latest in a string of untimely deaths among prominent officials and allies of Vladimir Putin.
