Surrounded by breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains, the Kalash region stretches across three remote valleys: Bumburet, Rumbur and Birir. These valleys are located 20 miles south of Chitral. The local people of the region are called Kalashas. They are best known for their hospitality and colourful culture, which is mostly based on festivities that involve traditional dance and music.
