Ukraine Gets First Leopard 2 tanks, Putin Ally Threatens Poland
Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin claims his fighters have captured the Berkhivka village near Bakhmut. A Wagner fighter claims the mercenary group is just 400 metres away from Ukrainian controlled city of Bakhmut. As the war enters its second year, Zelensky said the “international anti-Putin coalition has grown” as he thanked western partners for continued support. Polish PM Morawiecki announced the delivery of four Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine on the war anniversary.
Meanwhile, Russia’s UN representative interrupted a minute's silence for Ukraine on first war anniversary. Putin ally Dmitry Medvedev says Russia must push back the borders of hostile states to ensure lasting peace with Ukraine. Russia is likely in the process to ink a deal with a Chinese drone manufacturer, as per a German daily.
