Moxie, Part 1 A Tool That Allows Humans to Live on Planet Mars
The machine, which was designed by a group of scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, also earned the nickname 'mechanical tree', because of its ability to break down CO2 molecules into O2 using chemical reactions and electricity. The researchers suggest an upgraded version of Moxie can produce oxygen equivalent to the oxygen produced by several hundred trees, before humans moved to this planet.
