It's been one year since Russia invaded Ukraine

This time last year Vladimir Putin sent an invasion force into Ukraine, expecting to take the capital at lightning speed. It was a humiliating failure. Twelve months later the war grinds on, inflicting a huge cost on the Ukrainian people and the country's infrastructure. Putin gives no indication he intends to back down.
